Wedding Present Season! Hunting for Gifts

I am always trying to find good presents for friends without registries or when the selection is limited.  Email me any ideas you have!  My goal is to find something special they will use or keep for more than ten years and not end up in a garage sale. Also, something they may not find or buy for themselves.

A Close Friend: 

A painting of a place that is special to the couple:  This is a big effort present, but it's worth it.  You are giving them something that will remind them of their wedding and helping decorate their house in style.  It's a win-win.  Cost:  $100-$300

Sterling silver candlesticks: (I like to polish antique or vintage ones and try to find a gorgeous box). Gorgeous on any table!  Costs about $100-$200+  Below are an English Sterling pair on ebay for for about $130

Everyone likes cake right?  And cake plates can be special and do not have to match china.

The Somerset picnic time basket.  It meets my qualification as something you wouldn't buy yourself and you can use it for that lawn show at Wolf Trap or that picnic in Central Park.  #3 is a crap shoot.  Depends on the couple.  Best price I found was $119 with shipping from GrabCart.com

Tickets to a show
Pick tickets for a show about 6 months time after the wedding.  Maybe a gift card for a great pre-theatre restaurant.  This present is extremely usable and hopefully will be a great memory they can share together.
